What is the difference between a Charcuterie Board and a Cutting Board? The answer is: not much. With Sider's Woodcrafting, we use the same stunning, woodsafe hardwoods to craft our charcuteries as we do our cutting boards. These domestic and exotic hardwoods are up to the task of repetative cutting. So if the wood is the same, then what is the difference? Basically, the difference is YOU. That is, how you decided to use it. You choose if you want to use the board to serve on, or to cut on, or both. The one small exception is if your board has any Epoxy in it. The Epoxy does not make a good cutting surface and shows scratch marks more quickly than the wood - so we don't recommend cutting on Epoxy.
This board is named Surf's Up Charcuterie, because its size is perfect for a party, but it can easily serve as both a Charcuterie and Cutting Board.
This board is made out of Ash, Curly Maple, Hickory, Mahogany, Padauk, Purple Heart, Walnut, and Wenge. It measures 25" x 12.5" and weighs about 5lbs.
